Create back up tables using cursor - response (4) by mmanijay

Thanks for your reply.I was on off .So unable reply to your queries.
We have planned to automate the partition range.This ipartition range is different for different set of tables.
They have suggested to use dtored procedure and call the procedure using informatica job.
First thing of the requirement is cretaing back up tables for all partitioned tables.
Next to add the extra range to the tables
Next to delete all the back up created after we do testing.
Im not much experienced in Teradata procedure.
But if I get the syntax I can create the procudures.
Im not aware of bteq.Business requirement is only to automate the modification of partition range.
U can suggest me anyway which is best.
