Rights on View and macro and underlying tables - forum topic by mayya@teradataforum

Hi All,
Why is that even if a user does not have required rights on tables under lying in a macro can execute the macro if the user has execute right on that macro?
Why is that even if a user does not have insert rights on a table under lying in a view can insert rows through that view if the user has insert rights on that view?
In both of the above scenarios, how actually the rights will work??
